COUNTRY CLUB FEST "Search for the Next Country Star" Competition Terms & Conditions
1. The Promotion
1.1 The "Search for the Next Country Star" competition ("Competition") is operated by Feaster Media Inc. ("Organiser," "we," "us").
1.2 By participating in or voting in the Competition, all participants agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions.
1.3 The Competition is a skill-based contest. No purchase is necessary to vote; eligible ticket purchasers will receive a voting link by email, but the Competition does not constitute a lottery or game of chance.
2. Eligibility
2.1 Voting is open to individuals who hold a valid ticket to a Country Club Fest 2026 event in Vancouver, Calgary, or Toronto, and receive the post-event voting email.
2.2 Employees of Feaster Media Inc. and their immediate family members are not eligible to vote or enter as a competing artist.
2.3 Competing artists must be 19 years of age or older at the time of their performance. Artists under 19 will not be eligible to participate regardless of parental consent.
2.4 The Competition is open to Canadian residents only. Artists and voters must be residing in Canada at the time of entry or participation.
3. Artist Entry
3.1 Artists must submit a completed application via countryclubfest.com/nextstar by the stated application deadline.
3.2 By submitting an application, artists confirm that all information provided is accurate and that they hold the rights to any music performed or submitted. The Organiser accepts no liability for any third-party intellectual property claims arising from an artist's performance.
3.3 The Organiser reserves the right to accept or decline any application at its sole discretion.
3.4 By entering, competing artists grant Feaster Media Inc. a perpetual, royalty-free, non-exclusive licence to use recordings, photographs, and footage of their performance for marketing, promotional, and editorial purposes across all platforms, including social media, without further compensation or approval required.
4. Voting
4.1 Following each City Event, eligible ticket purchasers will receive a voting link by email to the address used at the time of ticket purchase.
4.2 Voting will open immediately after the event and close 24 hours from the time the email is sent. Votes submitted after this window will not be counted.
4.3 One vote per email address per City Event. Any attempt to vote multiple times or manipulate the outcome will result in votes being disqualified.
4.4 The Organiser reserves the right to disqualify votes it reasonably believes to be fraudulent, automated, or otherwise in breach of these Terms.
5. Judging & Winner Selection
5.1 The artist receiving the highest number of valid votes in each city (Vancouver, Calgary, Toronto) will be declared the City Winner for that event.
5.2 In the event of a tie, the Organiser reserves the right to appoint a City Winner at its discretion.
5.3 The three City Winners will advance to a Grand Prize final. The Grand Prize Winner will be selected by Country Club management, whose decision is final and binding. No correspondence will be entered into.
6. The Prize
6.1 The Grand Prize consists of:
Return economy flights for two (2) persons from the winner's nearest major Canadian airport to Los Angeles, California
Hotel accommodation for two (2) persons for a duration to be confirmed by the Organiser
One (1) professional recording session at a studio in Los Angeles, California, details of which (including studio, duration, and scheduling) will be communicated by the Organiser at a later date
6.2 The approximate retail value ("ARV") of the Grand Prize is CAD $3,000, depending on departure city and travel dates, and excluding the value of the recording session, the ARV of which is to be confirmed. The ARV is an estimate only; no cash difference will be provided if the actual value is less.
6.3 All other costs, including but not limited to ground transportation, meals, entertainment, travel insurance, passport or visa fees, and any incidental expenses, are the sole responsibility of the winner.
6.4 The prize is non-transferable, non-exchangeable, and has no cash alternative.
6.5 Travel dates are subject to availability and must be confirmed with the Organiser within 30 days of notification. Failure to confirm within this period may result in forfeiture of the prize.
6.6 The winner is responsible for ensuring they hold a valid passport and any required travel documentation. Feaster Media Inc. accepts no liability if the winner is unable to travel due to documentation, health, or immigration reasons.
6.7 The Organiser strongly recommends the winner obtain comprehensive travel insurance prior to travel. The Organiser is not responsible for any costs, losses, or damages arising during the prize trip.
7. Notification
7.1 City Winners and the Grand Prize Winner will be notified by email or direct message using contact details provided at the time of application.
7.2 If a winner cannot be contacted within 14 days of notification, the Organiser reserves the right to select an alternative winner.
8. Liability
8.1 To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Feaster Media Inc., its directors, employees, agents, and partners shall not be liable for any injury, loss, damage, or disappointment suffered by any participant or voter in connection with the Competition or the prize, including but not limited to loss arising from technical failures, cancellation of events, or any aspect of the prize trip.
8.2 The Organiser is not responsible for any entries, votes, or communications that are lost, delayed, corrupted, or not received due to technical issues, network failures, or any other cause outside its reasonable control.
9. Data & Privacy
9.1 Personal information collected through the Competition application form and voting process will be used solely for the purposes of administering the Competition, notifying winners, and — where consent has been given — for marketing communications from Feaster Media Inc.
9.2 Personal data will be handled in accordance with applicable Canadian privacy legislation, including the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and applicable provincial privacy laws.
9.3 Participants may request access to, correction of, or deletion of their personal data by contacting info@wearefeaster.com.
9.4 The Organiser will not sell or share personal data with third parties except where required to administer the prize (e.g., travel booking providers).
10. Publicity
10.1 By entering the Competition, artists consent to the use of their name, likeness, submitted photographs, and performance footage for promotional purposes by Feaster Media Inc. across its platforms, including social media, without further compensation.
10.2 The Grand Prize Winner may be required to participate in reasonable post-competition promotional activities, including social media content, at the Organiser's request.
11. Force Majeure
11.1 The Organiser shall not be liable for any failure or delay in performing its obligations under these Terms where such failure or delay results from circumstances beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to acts of God, pandemic, severe weather, venue closure, government restriction, or artist cancellation.
11.2 In such circumstances, the Organiser reserves the right to modify, postpone, or cancel the Competition or any City Event. In the event of cancellation, no compensation will be offered beyond what is expressly required by applicable law.
12. General
12.1 The Organiser reserves the right to amend, suspend, or cancel the Competition at any time, with reasonable notice where possible.
12.2 These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of the Province of British Columbia, Canada, without regard to conflict of law principles.
12.3 Any disputes arising in connection with the Competition shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of British Columbia.
