Dane Bateman
-
Although Allison Daniels has been described as an ‘up and coming’ talent, the Quebec City-based country singer has substantial experience as a songwriter and performer to draw on for her recently released debut album “W” via Vancouver’s 604 Records. That’s abundantly clear on the forthcoming singles for her as yet untitled 2024 debut, ‘Who, What, Where, When, Why’ and ‘We Both Know.
“’Who, What, Where, When, Why is a really heartbreaking song,” Daniels explains. “It’s about the doubts you have at the beginning of a relationship when someone’s throwing up red flags - a song I hope people will sing at the top of their lungs and, hopefully, release their anger.”
Conversely, ‘We Both Know’ digs into negotiating the challenges of everyday life in a long-term relationship, “How a relationship evolves, how we still love each other, but not in the same way as at the beginning when it was so intense.”
Both tracks display Daniels’ wide emotional range as a singer/songwriter and the benefits of the significant amount of time she’s spent on stage developing her live chops – skills that led to her landing an opportunity to perform with Country superstar, Keith Urban, at Festival d'été de Québec in July 2015, making it to the quarter-finals on the wildly popular TV show, La Voix (Quebec’s version of The Voice), and opening for Canadian country star Tim Hicks on a full run of Quebec dates.

Dane Bateman blends modern country energy with the heart and soul of ’90s country. Originally from the small mountain town of Nakusp and later settling in the beachside city of Penticton, Dane’s journey is rooted in the great outdoors, small-town living, and a deep love for music.
Dane has already made waves in the live music circuit, sharing the stage with top Canadian country acts, including Dallas Smith, Dean Brody, The Reklaws, Meghan Patrick, Tyler Joe Miller, The Road Hammers, JoJo Mason, Aaron Pritchett, and James Barker Band.
His passion for country music began at just 10 years old when he first picked up a guitar, learning from friend and fellow artist Mitch Zorn. Growing up, his grandparents played legends like Merle Haggard, Willie Nelson, and Waylon Jennings, while his parents introduced him to icons like Garth Brooks, Alan Jackson, and Brooks & Dunn. Those backyard bonfire jam sessions with his dad sparked a lifelong love for songwriting and storytelling.
Influenced by modern hitmakers like Luke Combs, Morgan Wallen, and Riley Green, as well as the raw, red dirt sounds of Texas artists like Koe Wetzel, Corey Kent, and Kolby Cooper, Dane crafts a sound that’s both fresh and familiar. His music captures the grit of the genre’s past with the energy of today’s country scene.
Now signed to AAG Management and XOXO Entertainment Corp., Dane is gearing up to make his mark with his highly anticipated debut single, Whiskey Promises. With a mix of heartfelt storytelling and anthemic melodies, he’s ready to bring his own unique voice to country music.
Stay tuned—this is just the beginning for Dane Bateman.
